﴾ The truth is from your Rabb (the Nurturing Sustainer), so do not be among the doubters. ﴿
"The truth" stands at the head of the verse as a definite noun and places what has been said in the station of firmness. Truth, from ḥ-q-q, denotes a narrowing that contains the matter in its interior, then knots it in a deep coalescence, while the repetition of the final letter doubles that knot until any slipping away is cut off. Firmness is thus a meaning whose parts have been made fast and which has become fit for a judgment to rest upon, and the opening gathers the noun, the definiteness and the firmness together before naming the source.
"From" links the truth to its origin, "your Rabb," and refers it to the Rabb ahead of the addressee's own consideration and ahead of the disagreement of those who differ. Lordship, from r-b-b, is an extended flow that attaches to the place it carries and holds to it, after which the repeated letter doubles that bond until the care stands firm. The possessive in "your Rabb" joins the address of the truth to a relation of care that reaches the hearer: its source is a Rabb annexed to him while he is listening.
The connective ties the consequence to what was established before it. As long as the truth is from the Rabb, a direction issues from that statement: "do not be." Being, from k-w-n, is a held possibility kept within, then breaking out into appearance. The prohibition prevents the one addressed from coming to stand in a formed condition to which he belongs, and does not concern a passing thought that never settled. The verse does not say only "do not doubt"; it chose "do not be among," and so turned the prohibition toward entering a description and a body of people who carry it.
Doubt, from m-r-y, is a holding in an interior whose flow runs on without ever anchoring, then extends in softness and glide; it is a wavering that keeps its own motion going and never knots onto anything firm. "The doubters" is an active participle, which makes this wavering an acting and continuing nature, not a single question for which clarification is sought. The plural presents a rank in which that nature gathers, and "among" forbids the one addressed from being one of it. So the close sets against each other a truth knotted and firm and a doubt that runs without anchoring, and likewise a named source and a condition to which one is forbidden to belong.
The verse presses its course into two sentences: a firmness, then a consequence. "The truth" is a definite noun whose own material makes the knot fast, and "from your Rabb" joins that firmness to the source of care annexed to the one addressed. From that bond the connective issues a prohibition against a being in which doubt becomes a lasting description. So a structural facing stands between a knot made firm from its source and a wavering that runs and never comes to rest.
